UVA’s Decarbonization Academy (DA) is underway as of this week! The program is in its third year, with a continued goal of forging partnerships amongst students, faculty, and staff (primarily Facilities Management) to use the UVA Grounds as a “living laboratory” for decarbonization innovation. This year’s academy encompasses five projects, spanning from building efficiency innovations to afforestation via installation of forest patches. Ethan Heil of UVA’s Office for Sustainability is serving as DA director. Lisa is participating as faculty liaison. We look forward to a productive, fulfilling summer!
